Our story.

We breathe new life into interiors by delivering bespoke office, retail, and hospitality fit-outs. Our portfolio extends beyond aesthetics – we’re also adept at earthquake strengthening and handling light commercial projects. 

Leaders in our field

McKay Lang holds professional memberships with the Certified Builders Association (CBANZ) and the New Zealand Retailers Association. Individuals within the company are also members of the NZ Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NZIQS), Quantity Surveyors Emerging Professionals (QSEP) and hold Licenced Building Practitioner (LBP) licenses.  We are based in Christchurch and work across New Zealand.

While the majority of our work is negotiated, we do submit tenders at the request of our clients. Our team is experienced in the following forms of procurement:

Single-stage tenders:

We have recently undertaken main contractor tenders, tenders with client-nominated subcontractors and carpentry-only packages working for a construction manager.

We can complete significant pre-qualification documentation and then prepare a fully detailed competitive tender.

Negotiated work:

This open-book approach is the method we prefer. All information is provided to our client, with open and honest negotiation undertaken to arrive at the right price.
